Movies This Week in January 2009

There are a lot of interesting movies opening in Manila this week of January! I am particularly waiting for the third installment of the Underworld: Rise of the Lycans! There are also several other movies that are worth spending your money over. Here’s a rundown of the movies that are being played this week!

Penstalker Recommends

First off, I’d like to recommend the following films.

I would recommend you watch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button if you haven’t already done so. It’s really a good movie and will leave you feeling a bit thankful for being alive.

You should also watch Yes Man ! if only to shake off the blues and laugh at Jim Carey and the beautiful Zooey Deschanel.

Love Me Again!

Piolo Pascual goes back to the big screen with Angel Locsin. Interestingly, this is Angel Locsin’s first movie with Star Cinema. If you haven’t watched it yet and you’re a big fan of these two people, then head off to the movie theaters quickly. Check out the movie trailer of Love Me Again!

Bride Wars

That pretty lady named Anne Hathaway is pitted against Kate Hudson while wearing a bridal gown! They go on a head-on competition for venues, and other bridal needs because nobody will relent with the dates. check out the Bride Wars trailer below.

Yes Man

Changeling

Changeling is the story of a mother whose son disappeared while she was at work. She refuses to give up hope that her son will return. Check out the Changeling movie trailer.

Why don’t you head over to SM Cinema North EDSA, SM Megamall, SM Southmall, SM Mall of Asia or any SM Cinemas for that experience. Waltermart Cinemas are also pretty good and cheaper than most movie houses. Cinemas at Trinoma are also pretty good. So as the Glorietta Cinema, Greenbelt and other Ayala malls. Gateway Cineplex is also nice.
