A new Transformer 2: Revenge of the Fallen movie poster has been released! This poster is way better than the previous ones we reported in this blog. Check out the Megatron sightings here. Thanks to MyMoviePoster for the poster.

Danny Elfman will take charge of the Musical Score of Terminator Salvation. I really hope that this movie is good! Otherwise, I’ll be raving against it. In case it’s bad, I’ll watch it for the second time and throw eggs to the screen!
More news after the jump!
The legal battle over the Watchmen Movie is almost over. According to Comingsoon.net, Fox and Warner Bros. are moving towards a settlement of the rights over Watchmen. Watchmen fans rejoice. We may yet watch this great movie by March 2009.
Come on Fox and Warner Bros. grow up!!! Don’t delay this amazing film for us!! @#$%@*!!!!
Asian Cinema News
The Shinjuku Incident movie by Jackie Chan will open the Hong Kong International Film Festival on April 2009. The problem is, the movie censors of China have not yet cleared this movie for airing.
Chinese movie fans do not seem to love Zhang Ziyi that much. Some of the men and those who love scandals love her, however. She just made it to the frontpage of several tabloid magazines in Hong Kong. Check out the news over at Kaiju Shakedown.
I haven’t really heard about Yoshihiro Nakamura before today. But hey, there’s always a first time! His horror flicks in Japan are not very welcome but right now, he is exploring an entirely new direction by presenting the story of Fish Story, a lame punk band in Japan who breaks up right before Sex Pistols hit it big time!
The market share of Korean local movies has gone down in 2008. Boo Hollywood!! Either Koreans are patronizing Hollywood movies more or they are watching all kinds of movies less frequently now. Or maybe, the piracy bug hit them in the gut. source: VarietyOnlineAsia
Beware Movie Pirates!! In Hong Kong, the Huayi Brothers are about to sue five websites carrying copies of “If You are the One!” This crackdown on pirates is spreading all over the world! Is movie piracy at an end?
Philippine Movies news
According to Starmometer Ang Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat dominates the Box Office on the 34th Metro Manila Film Festival. The total earnings of the MMFF is at P449.3 million, which is greater than the earnings in 2007 and 2006.
Marilou Diaz-Abaya is hosting a fellowship at the Marilou Diaz-Abaya Film Institute and Arts Center on February 7, 2009. The short films of her students will be screened during this event.
As much as I REALLY HATE the No-Right-Click feature of Pep.ph, I had to check out the local independent film scene. The indie film Butas by Alejandro Bong Ramos will be showing on January 12, 2009 at the UP Film Institute.
That’s it for now! If you haven’t done so, please Subscribe to Penstalker. You won’t regret it and you will not have to put up with lots of Philippine movies (and Hollywood too) that suck big time!
