Transformers Theme Park in Singapore by 2011

I haven’t been to Singapore. But I want to go there pretty soon and I now have a pretty good reason in going there… not this year though but in the next three years or so. The Universal Parks and Resorts teamed up with Dreamworks Pictures and Hasbro to establish a “Transformers” theme in its parks in Singapore and Hollywood.
Since Singapore is much closer to the Philippines, we can all go there and get the Transformers experience. Too bad it won’t open until 2011. The anticipation is part of the excitement.
The theme park will feature 3D High Definition footage with special effects, robotics and track to put people in the midst of an ongoing war between the Autobots and the Decepticons. While the war is going on and the people will drop their jaws, the Autobots and Decepticons will transform from their vehicle form to gigantic robots. Imagine being the main character at the Transformers movie with Megatron and Optimus Prime fighting and you’re right there looking up to them. Whoa! That’s one heck of an experience!
Universal chose not to say how much they will be spending for this project. It will definitely cost millions of dollars given the technology needed to make it happen. Interestingly, the Transformers theme will open first in Singapore at Sentosa even before being opened in Hollywood.
If you grew up in the 1980s and the early nineties, then you surely know the Transformers and enjoyed the adventures of these shapechanging robots who are out to save the earthlings. This would also be a great promotional gig for the upcoming Transformers movie: Revenge of the Fallen.
