Quickie post on whatever

I’m almost done with my 5,000-word writing assignment. Whew. My fingers are almost numb. My mind’s reeling, and I feel like I could gulp straight my fourth cup of brewed coffee.

That’s why I’m taking a breather to post a quickie article on productivity. I may not sound very coherent right now. So pardon me. Just let me have this breather. Pleeeaazze!! heheh.

Writing is a serious business and requires concentration unless you’re willing to settle for the “second-rate, copycat” articles. You know, the cut-and-paste kind of stuff. Too bad, I don’t settle for that. So I would rather read and read articles first, digest what the author is saying, analyze how I can use the ideas and then read some more. If I have a clear idea of what to write, then I attack the keyboard like crazy! When I say “like crazy!” I mean it. heheh. I can type around 60-80 words per minute depending on the weight of anxiety/pressure/panic that i feel in me. Or perhaps, if I am inspired.

But then… goodness gracious! Why doesn’t inspiration come when you need it? Why must I beg like a greasy homeless person in the street, or like a kid deprived of his lollipop. Hmmm… that seems to be a nice phrase. “Inspiration is like a lollipop!” It’s meaningless now, I know, but I hope in the future I can find some good use for that phrase.

If you have been reading this blog, you’ll notice that I have been posting articles about the government, boxing, movies, and travel among others. Well, this blog is certainly about those. But mainly, i want to focus on books, movies, blogs, technology and the government.

More on these topics when I’m done with this project.
