As the 2008 US elections draw closer, one of the issues that the candidates and the whole US population will have to face is the “War on Terror” started by Pres. George W. Bush. It is a highly contentious issue dividing the American society. Surprisingly, around 87% of self-proclaimed evangelical Christians support the ‘War on Terror” because they subscribe to the “Just War Theory.”

In John Campea’s documentary, he talks with a number of theologians and respected Christians about their stand on the issue. Some of them subscribe to Pacifism and the others subscribe to the Just War theory.

John Campea is a former Evangelical Christian and Minister. Although this is his first venture into the making of documentaries, he successfully explores the issue and provokes his viewers to think about the War on Terror and how they stand in relation to it. His main question was “How could a religion established by Jesus Christ built upon pacifist principles support war?”

hasn’t the paradox always been the need for armed strength to maintain peace? peace as we envision it — utopia — is not (currently?) possible without policing.
