Movie Blog: Movies for October
It’s the first week of October! Movies are gonna be shown in Manila theaters once again! Some are worth watching and spending your hard earned money over. Others are worth the trash bin with rotten popcorns all over them.
So here are some of the movies that will be screened this October in SM Cinema, Robinsons Movieworld, Trinoma Cinema, Greenbelt Cinema, Rockwell, Market Market and Gateway.
Mirrors
Mirrors follows the story of Ben Carson (played by Kiefer Sutherland), an ex-cop who suffers from post-traumatic stress syndrome. He works as a night watchman at a luxury department store that was burned. When he performs his job at night, he sees terrible visions reflected on the large mirrors of the store. Creepy! Problem is, these images turns to pursue him and his family wherever there are mirrors or any surface that could reflect images. As it turns out, the ghosts in the mirror want Ben Carson to tell their story.
The House Bunny
The life of Playboy Bunny Shelly takes a turn for the worse when she is evicted from the mansion. She had no choice but to hook up with the Zeta Alpha Zeta sorority. Too bad, these seven girls are about to lose their house. So they have to learn to stop pretending to be what people expect them to be and instead be true to who they really are. Shelley is out to help them do just that.
Another one of ‘em sex comedy with pretty girls. Perhaps it offers no more than that.
Mag-Ingat Ka sa Kulam
Judy Ann Santos comes back with Mag-Ingat Ka sa Kulam, produced by Regal Films. She stars with Dennis Trillo, a regular guy at GMA 7. I wonder why this movie did not appear under the Star Cinema banner? Hmm… Is there an impending change of home channel for Judy Ann Santos?
On the movie: The ghost in the movie looks too much like Sadako and Pontianak. It makes me wonder if the movie brings anything new for moviegoers. I do hope so.
There are other movies in October that are worth watching, stay tuned to Penstalker’s Movie Blog for more upcoming movies.
