More Time for Leisure, More Efficient Movie Blogging

Whew! This blogging addiction is getting to me! In addition to the Penstalker movie blog that I post to everyday. Yeah! As much as possible, I make it a point to post articles daily. On top of that, I’m also keeping three other blogs! Imagine! Still on top of that, I accept writing assignments from all over the world!
My work schedule usually runs from 9am to 6pm. It’s just like having a corporate work, though. If I’m pressed by deadlines, I also work overnights! It’s tiring to say the least!
I was feeling extra tired last month so I decided to apply to this online company based in Ortigas. I was feeling a bit worried about my career development. I went through the rigors of the preliminary exam and I was interviewed for a couple of times. By the last interview, I was just telling myself to go for it and I’ll reward myself a steaming coffee after that! It was a loooong day!
Anyway, a weekend after and a soul-searching between, I decided to let it go. Naah. I don’t want to be a corporate slave once more. Besides, I don’t want to swim in a sea of people by riding the MRT in the mornings or in the afternoons.
The freelance life is just way better than the corporate lifestyle! Heheh. So here I am blogging and writing to my heart’s content, earning pretty well and having control over my schedule.
On second thought, having control over my own sked means that I tend to work my behind off till I drop like crazy! Hahaha.
Over the weekend, I read this special report from Yaro Starak telling people how to become more effective bloggers. Thing is, if I focus too much on working, I fail to do other things that I enjoy. Like playing the guitar, reading a good Science Fiction or Fantasy book, or enjoying a walk in the mall. You see, freelancing should be about working effectively and efficiently. It’s a business, more than just self-employment.
So, effective today, I’m lowering my work hours so I can watch those movies I wanna watch! I can’t maintain this movie blog if I won’t watch the movies being screened in SM Cinema, Robinsons Movieworld and also in Trinoma’s Cinema!
Geez! I’m gonna start working more smartly and do things more efficiently. Don’t worry dear readers, you will still get fresh news, updates and movie screening schedules from Penstalker.com.
