Too bad, pretty tennis babe Maria Sharapova lost at the Wimbledon Open. Sharapova lost against fellow Russian Alla Kudryavtseva who is ranked 154th in the Tennis world. Really too bad. I’m a fan of Maria Sharapova because she’s pretty, she’s tough, and she’s got fashion sense. Guess what, she’s just 21 years old!

Wimbledon Championships is the oldest Tennis tournament in the world. It also has the strictest dress code. Imagine, you have to wear all white tennis outfit! The competition is also played on grass courts at Wimbledon, England. It is considered as one of the Grand Slam tournaments of Tennis.

The Australian Open, which is played on hard courts, and the French Open, played on clay courts, precede the Wimbledon. After the Wimby, as the Wimbledon is fondly nicknamed, the US Open will be played on hard courts.

Maria Sharapova lost in the second round with a score of 2-6 4-6 in 1 hour and 24 minutes. Hopefully, she rises again to the surface in the US Open to be held in August 25 to September 7.
