Joe Johnston to Direct Captain America Movie

We are hungry of news about the upcoming Captain America movie. It’s been quite some time since I’ve written about the First Avenger.
Marvel announced that Joe Johnston has signed up to direct “The First Avenger: Captain America.” The film producer is Kevin Feige who is the President of Marvel Studios while the Executive Producers are Stan lee, Louis D’Esposito and David Maisel.

It will be a long wait before the movie release since it will be released on May 6, 2011. That’s a long way from today! At least we know that the project is moving on. The name of the writer has not yet revealed though.
At least there’s a director. Johnston has directed Jumanji, Jurassic Park III, The Rocketeer, and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. He also won an Oscar in 1982 for Best Visual Effects for his work on the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark.
